OVERVIEW

Based on the Boy Denim Lite pattern, this artisan piece connects denim scraps into 10cm square patches.
The entire garment, including the front, back, waistband, and pockets, is constructed from stitched patchwork fabric.

The material used is the same 8oz cotton denim from Okayama Prefecture as the regular Boy Denim Lite.
This light, soft fabric that becomes more comfortable with wear has been reassembled from remnants to create a unique, one-of-a-kind pair of pants.

STORY

The boy denim LITE ARTISAN PATCHWORK is made from denim remnants generated during the production of Boy Denim Lite.

Fabric pieces that would normally be discarded are cut into 10cm squares and stitched together one by one.
The process begins by connecting these pieces, which become 12cm squares including seam allowances, to create a single patchwork fabric.

This fabric is then used to recut the Boy Denim Lite pattern and reconstruct it into a pair of pants.
Because the front, back, waistband, and pockets are all made of patchwork, the production process is completely different from that of regular denim.

For structural necessities, such as the zipper area and pocket bags, regular fabric is used.
This ensures a balance of visual impact, wearability, and durability as a pair of pants.

The denim used is 8oz denim from Okayama Prefecture by Kuroki.
It is a light and soft fabric with weft threads made from reverse-spun yarn. The natural unevenness created by thin and thick sections means the texture subtly changes with wear.

Even when using remnants from the same fabric, the arrangement and appearance of the seams differ for each pair.
This heavy. brand denim is a unique piece that makes the most of materials without waste, transforming accidental combinations into charm.

FIT

A relaxed straight fit, same as the Boy Denim Lite, with ample room around the hips and thighs.
It has a loose silhouette that falls naturally from the waist to the hem.

While having a distinctive patchwork look, the shape retains the easy-to-wear balance of the Boy Denim Lite for everyday use.

CARE

Hand wash recommended.
If using a washing machine, turn inside out, place in a laundry net, and wash on a gentle cycle.

Do not tumble dry.
After washing, reshape and hang to dry in the shade.

Due to the denim material, color fading or transfer may occur with washing and wear.
Please be careful of color transfer to light-colored clothing or furniture.

DESIGNER’S NOTE

The boy denim LITE ARTISAN PATCHWORK is a pair of pants reassembled from remnants created during the production of Boy Denim Lite.

To use materials without discarding them.
To reconstruct remnants into new fabric.
And to create a pair of pants that can be worn naturally.

By connecting 10cm squares, the process became akin to creating a single piece of fabric before making the pants themselves.

While using the same pattern and denim fabric as the regular Boy Denim Lite, the production time and the resulting look are entirely different.
This artisan item breathes new life into materials generated during heavy.'s manufacturing process, transforming them into a unique pair of pants.
