Nathan Phillips successfully completed the climb of "Khoikhoi," rated 8B+/C (V14/15) .
This boulder, pioneered by Jimmy Webb , features a sloper and technical moves. Phillips had made this the main goal of his trip, and he felt a great sense of accomplishment after completing it at dusk.
Phillips commented on his Instagram:
"This is probably the best boulder I've ever climbed. It was the main goal of the trip and I managed to complete it yesterday at dusk.
I was really inspired by watching Simone Tentori climb it a few days ago and I'm grateful for all his advice 🙏.
There's still a week left on the trip, but I've already climbed Mirta and Khoikhoi and I'm very happy with the climbs I've done. Thanks also to Tom Peckitt for his support."
A detailed review of the grades is posted in his 8a.nu log .
